The chart at left is of a study showing weight loss of 28 lbs for those given the main ingredients of SDF3 twice daily for 10 weeks, as opposed to those given placebo, who lost 4.6 lbs. Pretty impressive!
Everyone’s metabolism and dietary needs are different. For example, if excessive hunger is your main problem, African Mango will probably be most effective for you.
If it’s low energy and slow metabolism, Acai Berry will probably be your best bet.
If you sometimes binge, the fat blocking abilities of Sea Buckthorn will be a great benefit.
But most people suffer from a combination of challenges in their weight loss battles and can benefit from all three weapons.

In addition to being rich in nutrients like Omega 3 fats and fiber, and having the highest levels of antioxidents of any food,

increase metabolism and help build muscle tone. And the fact that it has virtually no side effects, so you can generally consume as much

Unfortunately, unless you live in Brazil, this berry is not available in your local supermarket.
The berry is extremely perishable and begins to spoil within hours of harvesting. However, with careful processing, the rich set of nutrients
can be preserved in pills, juice drinks, frozen berries and preserves.

Freeze drying the fruit immediately after harvesting is the only way to preserve the nutrional benefits of the berries.
Beware of products commonly used in “free trials, and found in supermarkets, GNC, Amazon.com, Walmart etc, which use other methods of processing
such as spray drying or drum drying, as the high heat used in this processing will
destroys about 1/2 of the antioxidents and even more of the omega 3 fats. They look for the absolute lowest price product, with no regard
for potency.
Freeze drying is the most expensive process, and it takes approximately 10 kg of berries to make 1 kg of freeze dried powder. This 10-1 ratio,
is 2.5 times more than the typical 4:1 extract that is claimed for products made by spray drying.
So now you know why a spray dried extract seems cheap, but in reality is about 1/5 as effective as a quality freeze-dried acai berry.

Juice can also be a great way to get the benefits of acai , but a little label reading is important here also.
The big supermarket brands add a lot of water and cheap juices like apple, pear, and grape to cut the cost and often have less than 10% acai in them!
Unfortunately, most manufacturers will then clarify the puree. Or, they will freeze-dry the berries to a powder and then reconstitute it with water.
This is done to increase the shelf life of the juice so it can sit on the store shelves for months or years. But either way, virtually all of the
good Omega fats, fiber, and some of the antioxidants are lost in the processing.

The same lack of side effects can be expected if you are using an acai product that contains ONLY acai berry, so if you have some underlying
health problems and are concerned about possible drug interactions. However, many of the newer supplements are mixing it with stimulants like
caffeine, diuretics, and colon cleansing ingredients, so care must be taken with anything other than Pure acai berry products.

Dr. Perricone calls this berry the number one superfood in his book “The Perricone Promise”.

There are hundreds of web sites popping up that offer free trials of Acai pills, promising that you only have to pay for shipping. But these websites are very nasty scams that will steal hundreds of dollars from unsuspecting victims. The customer is unknowingly signed up for a monthly subscription (or autobill) for an crappy product at an outrageous cost. Their hidden terms state you must cancel within 14 days, but often times THEY DON’T EVEN SHIP THE PRODUCT UNTIL 14 DAYS ARE UP. So you get hit with an $80-150 charge. Then, they make it very difficult to contact them, and often will VERBALLY tell you they subscription is cancelled, but you have no proof and GET HIT AGAIN THE NEXT MONTH! You can read more about these scams, see the latest tactics that they employ, and see the stories of others who have been ripped off.
