If you have ever suffered from an occasional bout of heartburn, then you know how uncomfortable it can be. Just imagine if you had to deal with it several times a week! Unfortunately, this is a reality for many people around the world.
Heartburn is a major symptom of a condition called acid reflux or GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), in which liquid contents of the stomach back up into the esophagus. This liquid often contains acid, a digestive enzyme called Pepsin, and bile. These three substances can cause inflammation in the esophagus and can also damage its lining. People who suffer from acid reflux will often feel chest pain, taste a bitter or sour liquid in their mouths, have trouble swallowing and constantly feel the need to clear their throat.
GERD is usually a chronic condition, and once someone acquires it, he will suffer from its effects for the rest of his life. The effects are particularly painful if the lining of the esophagus has been damaged. The symptoms of occasional acid reflux are traditionally treated with pharmaceuticals such as antacids, which work to neutralize the acid in the stomach. But antacids are relatively ineffective in chronic cases because they don’t have the ability to heal the damage to the esophagus lining. An overuse of antacids can also lead to constipation or diarrhea.
The good news is that a new natural cure for acid reflux may have been found in the powerful Acai berry of the Amazon. In addition to many other health-enhancing properties such as the ability to lower cholesterol levels, fight off cancer, and prevent the signs of aging, Acai is also rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are agents that help prevent free radicals (unstable atoms with one or more unpaired electrons) from damaging the membranes of healthy cells. Antioxidants neutralize these free radicals and stop their harmful effects by lending the unstable atoms an electron. Because antioxidants protect the weakening of cells by free radicals, they help boost the immune system and better prepare the body to fight against infections.
The wide range of cell-nurturing antioxidants contained within Acai Berry can help protect and repair a lower esophagus lining that is damaged by GERD. Their neutralizing effect will also suppress the acidity in the stomach when reflux starts to occur. Because Acai Berry is an unprocessed food, it also provides for natural way of fighting acid reflux and can reduce the need to gulp pills every time an attack of heartburn occurs.

it’s me Sir Tomas and this stuff works great been on it for a year and i’m fine
Since stating the Pure acai berry I have severe tightness in my chest all the time.Any one esle.
Okay…this is what i know. I know that I was on acid reflux prescription medication for a few years. I stumbled upon acai berry by accident about 6 months ago. Being 50 and many changes going on in my body I figured I needed to try whatever I oould. It has helped me completely get off of my medication. I every once in awhile have to take something over the counter but nothing like before. My reflux was so bad that I have been to the hospital in the middle of the night and have had developed pneumonia from inhaling the acid when i refluxed. All i know is that it has been wonderful for me.
I’ve only been taking a acai product for a week and a half. I usually have constant severe heartburn /acid reflux, mostly on an empty stomach. I have had NONE since I have started taking acai.
I have been taken 2100mg of acai berry for 3 months and I watch what I eat and am very active. Well acai berry has NOT helped me loose weigh at all. Also my aniexty as some would call it or my Gerd acai berry has none NOTHING for my chest pains. Acai berry is just another natural product that got all hiped up and I havent seen much action out of it. It hasnt helped me at all. What a waste of money!
Mine was under control until I started using acai. Nothing like being violently awakened to one’s throat and mouth being filled with gastric acid in the middle of the night. Such fun!
But, like any supplement, time and testing are required for everyone, and everyone is different. It may require an adjustment period and a tweak of any reflux medication to find a suitable dose.
I do have to laugh, however, when I read all the claims about acai and how it’s supposedly able to cure everything from cancer to bad breath. LOL.
How do you store the Acai berry supplements? In the fridge or on the shelf?
If the acai berry helps gerd, why have I had a constant burning in my chest since starting these pills?
