Acai Berry Scams – Beware!

If you have been the victim of a free trial scam, please report below the brand that ripped you off.
We forward this information to the FTC- so please help us identify the worst offenders.

[poll id="2"]

“FREE TRIAL OFFERS” ARE NOT FREE!
They will charge your credit card $80 or more, sometimes within days of ordering, and often before you even receive the “free trial”. This is 4 times more than quality freeze-dried acai berry costs. AND, they send you crappy product which cost about 1/2 as much to produce.
YOU WILL BE SIGNED UP FOR A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION
They say they just charge you for shipping. In reality, once they get your credit card number they will charge you. You don’t realize they have signed you up for a subscription because they bury it in the fine print in their terms and conditions.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THE CHARGES
There will either be noone to contact, or, when you call their customer service number to get return authorization you are put on hold and shuffled between different people until you give up. Don’t believe me? Before you purchase, call or email them and ask them to please stop sending the product. You will get the runaround.
IF THEY ARE OFFERING A FREE TRIAL, IT IS A SCAM – EVERY SINGLE ONE !
None of them make it clear you are signing a subscription, and we have not yet found one that makes it easy to cancel the subscription.

FIGHT BACK – SPREAD THE WORD!

I have just received my second shipment of ‘LEAN SLIM’ and
    ‘LEAN SLIM CLEANSE’

Is there anyway of retrieving my money ???

    • Lily says:

You will have to call them because they no longer accept emails. They will just keep talking to try to frustrate you into hanging up but be persistent and insist on getting a cancelation number. Also get the name of the person you are speaking with. They will also give you instructions on “how” to return the product (if you even received them). Then call your credit card company and give them the cancelation number, the name of the person you spoke with and tell them you want to dispute the charges. Make sure you send the product back by registered mail or some other way which you can verify you sent it back to them. Good luck!!!

  2. Emma says:

Like many of you, I ordered Lean Slim Cleanse and Lean Slim Ultra. They took over 10 days to arrive and after the 14th day they charged me around £55 and £58 for both. I was horrified, I telephoned the customer service number and they did answer and agreed to refund me one of the charges. (Which I haven’t yet seen). I am cancelling by email the whole trial and have cancelled my bank card as an insurance policy.
I intend to go through my bank’s visa debit fraud policy to regain the other charge but it could take 45 days or more, Visa standard process and Lean Slim Cleanse may dispute it. They said I didn’t read the terms and conditions but I did and it was falsely represented as a 30 day FREE trial not a 14 day trial with 4 days use of the product!
Beware, cancel your card immediately, call or email them to cnacel the trial and then apply for refund via the visa dispute process…

    • John SL says:

Like all of you I have been ripped off. I was charged a few pounds for the postage of the original pills which arrived, and then 2 @ £57. I rang them, and was told that I had signed up, and they said they had cancelled the second lot of charges. Then a second package of pills arrived.
The address in the UK is not far from me, so I will go and see what goes on when I get a moment.
It is Colossal, 21 A/B Cherry Way, Dubmire Ind Est, Fence Houses (but that is really Fencehouses) Co Durham DH4 5RJ, and no Company No or VAT number given.
      A total rip off.

    • Beryl says:

Thanking my stars for this site, although I had already ordered LeanSlim. However, the goods have still not arrived (after 14 days) so I have phoned and cancelled and got a cancellation number. Have e-mailed confirming the cancellation and quoting the number, and also informed my credit card company, so apart from the initial postage, no further payments will be authorised. Hope others have been saved from this scam by our experience!

    • Lily says:

I ordered a TRIAL OFFER of Lean Slim and the Cleanse at the end of October. It was supposed to arrive within about 5 days. I was hoping to have it for at least a week before I went on vacation. It did not arrive until a few days before I got back. I then noticed on my credit card account that not only was I charged for the so called free trial, I was also charged over $160 twice for products I still haven’t received. I emailed them and got no response. Finally a week later, I called them and spent a half hour on the phone speaking with a male who seemed like he was reading from script because all he kept saying over and over again was “almost everyone who tried it says our product works and are happy with it”. I kept saying I am NOT happy, I am being ripped off for something I haven’t even received and he started the whole speal again. I was so frustrated and angry. Finally, after I asked him if he was stupid and had a hearing problem he finally gave me a cancelaton number. I also called my credit card company and they are disputing the amounts taken. Then today I received an email saying I could be charged with mail fraud. By God let them try!!!! I have never been so disgusted and angry. This is a terrible rip off so PLEASE DO NOT ORDER from it.

  3. AmyC says:

Ordered via nutrascience (since figured out they are also known as proaction) and found this page the next morning! Phoned immediately on 0844 745 1722, got through and told them i wanted to cancel. They said products had already been dispatched (likely story) but they gave me RMA numbers for the 2 products (MAXtrim & TARGETslim, ProCleanse) and said to return them. I then sent them an email basically repeating our phone convo (so i had a hard copy) and said if any more than £4.98 was taken from my card, which was for shipping & handling, then i would seek legal action. Told them i was sending via recorded mail and wanted email confirmation that everything was cancelled, inc the auto home delivery program i had apparently agreed to under T&C. This all done this morning so hvnt reveived anything yet. Here’s hoping they listen…

  5. Marion says:

Glad i went on to this site was holding bank card in hand ready to order… you all have save me alot of hassle…. so Big Thanks… And have a Merry Christmas

  6. Danielle says:

I ordered the free trial than found that i had been charged £56.39 for my next shippment of the tablets even though i never signed up or agreed to that. I couldn’t find any information this would happen. I phoned 0808 168374 where i was told that if you don’t cancel your subscription before your free trial ends they simply keep on shipping you product and charge you. They do allow you to cancel and get a partial refund i got all but £15 back. They do try and talk you into continuing at a lowered price but just be forcefull and tell them not at this time!

    • Kate says:

I ordered these products 10 days ago, but had read the terms and conditions so knew of the fact that there was a monthly subscription but just thought i would cancel within the 14 days. However, 10 days later still had not received the pills and have just cancelled via the number 08081683674. I have been told that they have been cancelled and i should not be charged any more money as of today. I got through on this number really quickly. Fingers crossed it actually works and that this is cancelled. I have only lost £3.47 in p and p.

      • Anonymous says:

did tis work 4 you ive had2payments of 57.34 taken out of my bank account cant get in touch wit any 1.

        • mary says:

contact your bank they will refund you and treat it as fraud ,, the company should not take money if you did not give them permission

          • Mary says:

Just checked my statement and they have charged me two amounts for £57.36 & £58.03 without me knowing. Said trial period and that it was on the advert but did not see anything. Just on the phone to my credit card company not sure what they can do. How stupid have i been!!

  7. Stupid Sue says:

How stupid am I? I am normally soooooooooo very careful but I have not been well and it looked oh so easy!!! Too good to be true. I have not received my ‘trial’ caps as yet )after 8 days) but I have rang leanslim and spoke to a guy called Nick. I have hopefully cancelled but will just wait and see. I have asked for a confirmation email.

    • Doug says:

I also fell for the free sample that did not arrive.I contacted my credit card company. They are very aware of Lean slim and Lean cleanse. They gave me the phone numbers of both companies and I had to get a cacellation number from both companies and the persons name.I was able to get this information and gave it to my credit card company. It has been noted on my account.I need to watch my statement for any further charges, if they occur I need to make my credit card aware and they will reverse the charges. It will be a long time before I order anything from the internet again.

    • Anonymous says:

You actually had someone answer the phone?? I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone!! I’ve sent several emails and also spoken to my credit card company numerous times. This is ridiculous!!!!

  8. ed worrall says:

    Regarding Leanslim

Dont bother to ring 08081863674 it rings twice then cuts off

    • Anonymous says:

i rang that number at 3.15 this afternoon and it was answered straight away and the chap i spoke to said he had cancelled the items for me immediately – i told them the doctor had advised me to cancel due to the product making me ill, so i am hoping it is now finished with – i have a parcel to return to them though, but hopefully no more cash coming out of my account. keep trying 08081683674

      • Lin says:

I spoke to some women called Kim and have had the details to return the pills. I also told them that my dr had advised me to come off them. Didn’t quite catch the return address in full though… can anyone help? Thanks

    • Sandy says:

Just wanted to say I have just spoken to someone on 08081683674 and they have cancelled it for me. I could hear in the background loads of other accounts being cancelled. The man on the phone said that they had just taken over the customer services for Leanslim and were getting hundreds of calls. He did try to get me to carry on, but I said no way, my doctor had said it might interfere with my thyroid meds (total lie!). Anyway, I got an email to confirm the cancellation within minutes. Shall not be doing anything as stupid as that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • I am a pensioner who this firm are attempting to rip off to the tune of £116′s a month. email not responding, phone not responding and VISA telling me they can’t really be of much use as I signed up to a contract. !!!
How the hell do I get out of this ?.

        • lisa says:

Hi Vicky, you need to cancel your card as soon as possible, even if you tell your bank it has been stolen, they can’t take any more money if the card doesn’t exist. Email the company and tell them you’ve cancelled your card so they cant take any further payments. Ask them for a cancellation number. Send back any pills you get, recorded delivery, with your name and address and order number inside. hope this helps a little xx

      • Sally says:

Snap, I got a bloke trying to encourage me not to cancel but I just said they made me ill. I forwarded the cancellation email to my cc company as confirmation no more payments should be made.
I can’t believe how stupid I was, I’m so glad I saw this site before any more payments were made to them.

  9. ed worrall says:

I have experianced a scam with Leanslim who had taken £57.00 out of my account. I realised 10days ago and dispite numerious e-mails to them demanding my money back i heard nothing. After reading various comments above I visited my bank this morning (Barclays)unfortunatly they had taken another £52 only this morning. I have now stopped the fraud and my bank will wright to me to confirm and once I receive confirmation (within 48hrs) any further deductions will be at Barclays expence so I must keep the letter as confirmation by scanning it onto my PC.

    Advice from my bank

1,never give details when you are asked to pay postage for free samples.

2, If you discover a scam do not contact the people involved as this will allert them that you are on to them and they will make further deductions from your account as they did mine.

    3. go immediatley to you bank who will give you advice an a free phone call from their premises to contact their fraud department.

    remember once bitton twice shy

    Best wishes

  10. jules says:

fell for the same scam £100 later lol
contacted company and cancelled via email and telephone have the details if anyone needs them
reported scam to martin lewis the money saving expert.com

  11. Sally says:

Did you get a cancellation reference when you called? Give your bank the telephone number you called to cancel and your cancellation reference and ask the dispute team to take over it for you.

    • Lizzie says:

I have had more money taken last Friday, when I called the customer services, they said my account had been cancelled and knew nothing about the money being taken. I have a cancellation number and this happened 9 November. Tim (from Lean slim) said it was not their company who had taken the money and I should contact my bank to find a telephone number and call them. I have also (today Monday) received more pills from an address in Co Durham, no contact telephone number. paperwork shows the name Cleanxz.com, It also shows £10.95 post & pkg chrage, have tried this address to no avail.
This is a scam, which unfortunately appears little can be done about it. I have unaswered emails. I am so angry.

      • Naomi says:

i am the same, i purchased the leanslim on a whim because it was a free trial, i thought it was a bit dodgy when i ordered but i thought what the hell…just got another lot in the post a moneth later costing me 10.95 from a place in co.durham the same as you lizzie! i’ve emailed to cancel the subscription i didn’t know i had, am i going to have to cancel my card? xx

    • Lizzie says:

Bank need to wait 15 days before they can do anything. So long as the company have your number there is very little you can do.

  12. Emma says:

Don’t give up people an dodn’t just accept a cencellation of your subscription. I also stupidly fell for this scam. After a 20 minute phonecall to customer services in the USA I still got nowhere. I was told over and over again that T&C’s states I would be signed up however I received no T&Cs and also no tablets !!! I was furious. I wrote a very very very strongly worded email to customer service:

    customerservice@leanslimultra.com

I told them I was taking legal action and that I was also referring my case to The Office of Fair Trade for investiagyion under the Consumer Rights Act……….. Hey presto, within 5 days I had a very apolgetic email and a refund of the whole amount they had taken from my account, and my subscription was cancelled with no further cost !!!
Don’t let them get away with it. Fight back so that this doesnt happen to anyone else. Good luck xxx

  13. Sally says:

I’ve been a victim of this scam as well. I’m frantically trying to cancel the subscription. I’ve got the delivery note saying Lean Slim & Lean Cleanse were dispatched from Colossal in County Durham but I can’t find a number. Has anyone else in the UK had the same and do you have a number so I can call and cancel?

    • Andrea says:

I cancelled my subscription by calling 0808 16 83674 (It’s a free phone number)- You just have to give them your Surname and they should be able to cancel your subscription. I called them on Monday at 1 and after around 5 minutes got through (thank goodness). You may have to return your items to the States which has been a problem for some so I’m just keeping mine and paying the £20 for each bottle because it meant that my subscription was cancelled straight away. Good luck.

i have had another lot today delivered from the same address one i had not ordered a second lot two they smell completely different from my first lot

    • Colette says:

I have just opened by credit card statement and found I have been charged £235 this month by ProAction Acai. I ordered in October two products which cost £4.95 each. I was sent more products this week and thought they must be free samples! I phoned my bank and they said I have to phone the company to cancel further orders, which I have by answerphone, and they sent me email to confirm cancellation, but I will phone Monday when they are open. My credit card company said that when ordering such websites have an already ticked option which says you are subscribing to monthly supplies, and people should untick that box. They said its not fraud. Credit card co said 9 times out of 10 people get their money back, and return product, but I have to try and resolve myself and if can’t Bank will deal with complaint.

      • CAROILNE says:

HI COLLETTE I HAVE ALSO BEEN CHARGED FOR THIS PRODUCT WHEN MY VISA BILL CAME IN TODAY MY PRODUCT CAME FROM THE USA, I WAS CHARGED £57 I WANT TO STOP THIS TRANSACTION FROM MY CREDIT CARD. I WILL PHONE ON MONDAY HOPEFULLY I GET SOME SUCCESS

    • Elaine says:

Hi does anyone have a contact number for UK residents as it appears they have been dipping into my account on a weekly basis… so angry.. £500 so far, did not even know till today when i received a package three months after the trial sample.. arghh. Please tell me if anyone has got their money back and who to contact? thanks

      • Sally says:

        Hi Elaine,
I’ve managed to cancel my subscription by calling the following number 0808 16 83674. They confirmed the cancellation and gave me a reference number. It’s a freephone number I believe.

  14. vicky jones says:

well what an idiot i am,saw a fantastic free trial offer for perfect radiance and revita derm anti-wrinkle products just pay £3.95 each p&p.no t’s&c’s on web page and thought yeah i will give that a go and then saw another for lean slim and lean cleanse, same offer just pay p&p,again no t’s&cs.ordered all 4 items and this morning i found a £79.99 charge on my credit card for anti-winkle company.got on to cap one cc straight away.I was lucky because i had an email off this company with an actual telephone number so cap one manager phoned them and has hopefully got the £79.99 refunded to my account and further transactions stopped.now just have to deal with second company(lean slim)i have never had an email off them so no telephone number but i have a british return address so hopeful that i can put a stop to this one too, wish me luck!!!!

    • Rosie Butler says:

Yes, I did exactly the same. What is the cap one cc you mention, please? I wonder if they can help me.

    • Sally says:

I managed to get a number from my credit card statement 001 866 942 9990 and also 0808 168 3674 for EU customers.
At the moment all I’m getting is a recorded message saying to try after the holidays, which makes sense if they are celebrating Thanksgiving, so wish me luck for a successful cancellation on Monday

  15. Avril Ford` says:

    • Anonymous says:

I ordered it too. I’m down nearly £300. I just spoke to my cc company and they put me through – no reply because of their bank holiday. MBNA said they have lots of calls from women regarding this company. So, I am going to speak to Which about them, see if they can do anything. Stupid me, I thought free trial meant just that!! Worst thing is it didn’t do anything!

I saw a free triall for berry blizts and I now know it’s a scam but I can’t even find the site of which I ordered it from so I don’t know how I can cancel it. So I don’t know what to do?!

  21. Wilmah says:

I am so angry with myself or following for this.I have just recently discovered that I have lost almost £200.00 in three separate payments.I am so gutted and devastated.
I had to close my account since there was nothing that I could do.

  22. Iz says:

I fell for this on 16/11, then saw this site straight after. Cancelled bank card and informed bank of situation lloydstsb. Bank told me to contact them to cancel as you have 14 days to this. They told me that if i did this then any more money taken would be able to be a “disputed transaction” under visa regulations. E-mailed them on customerservice@leanslimultra.com to cancel my account immediately and not to send any free sample. Got notification e-mail from them that they had received my e-mail which had phone no to call from UK 08081683674. (i found that 0018669425005 no didnt work). I also said in this email to them that i had cancelled my card and any attempt to get further money would be a disputed transaction under visa regulations. Got an e-mail back from them (18/11) saying my account has been closed and no more money would be taken out. I also reported them as no terms and conditions came up on actionfraud (03001232040) and to Consumer Direct (Gov service aimed at protecting consumers (08454 040506). This may be worth doing especially if you haven’t cancelled in 14 day period.
    Good Luck

  23. michelle says:

Hi everyone. I was the same as you all and fell for this stupid scam! As soon as i saw all these messages i tried to get in contact with the company but no luck. I called my bank and told them the situation and they said there wasnt much they could do but told me it was a real buisness and to contact them to terminate the contract! I tried several times calling and emailing and eventually i got through and it was cancelled , I was sent an email to confirm they wouldnt be taking any more money from my account. This is the number i finally got through on – 0018669425005. Good luck.

  24. laura says:

I to signed up for these products then saw his website!!! whata twat…went and drew the rest of my money out acount…phoned bank told they could do nothing and cancelling card would not help…then managed to get company on above phone number and they said they have cancelled it. i then phoned again to double check it had been and got same reference number so i hope that i have managed to stop myself losing money before it happens

  25. beki says:

They have also stolen money from me, im not rich and i cant aford this.
im going to stick to walking and jogging :’(

  26. Sheila says:

I ordered the free trials also and was then charged £70.43 which I did not consent to. Found a number on this page which I got through to (and will probably charge me a fortune). Spoke to someone called “anne” who claimed I did not have an account which seems a bit strange when the account is there for them to take the money out. Phone number I got through to was 08081683674, not very helpful. Got an email address too: customerservice@leanslimultra.com. Currently waiting a reply to which I am not hopeful. Go straight to the bank and cancel any further payments or even just to make sure nothing else gets took off.

  27. Ian says:

I too got caught out, saw the “free trial” and ordered from “lean slim ultra”. As soon as ordered i came across this site suggesting a scam so i immediatly cancelled the order within half an hour of placing the order late on a Sunday evening. I did recieve confirmation of the cancellation within a week but and was instructed to send back the “Free sample” or pay a £25 cancellation fee. three weeks later “free sample” arrived, tried to post backto the return address in USA but the post office will not return herbal medicines (banned by US food administration from importing)so i appear to be stuck with them. I have just sent an e-mail asking for a UK address to return to. My bank Santander said they could not stop any payments because i had given the details freely, they would however try and recover any money that is taken.

  28. Gill says:

Me too, what a fool, just found out they have managed to get hold of £225 from me!

    • oma says:

just move ur money to another ac,wen i orderd d free trial nd saw dis link,i bcame jittery…i just moved my funds nd den cancelled d order, although d products came in today…i will definitely not take up on free offers again.

NB..plz make sure u cancell after 15 days of ordering.

      • Tina says:

Why! Why! Why! I can’t believe I was so stupid!
I’ve cancelled my card within hrs of ordering, but I’ve read a post further down that says they can still take money even without current card details!
        Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. Katie says:

I ordered the “Berry Ultimate Pro” and “Biosomatic” last night – then thought about it and it was abit strange – then came across this website and paniced! I’ve cancelled my bank card this morning and Im with Satander – they’ve confirmed they should not be able to take any more money from my account other than whats already been taken (p&p)
i tried emailing the “support@proactionacai.com” address but there saying I have not placed an order with them! So now I dont know who to call to cancel the so-called “subscription” – i’ve got the biosomatic’s one but what do i do about the “Beri ultimate pro” one?? Helppp.

  30. denise says:

thankfully I did not have enough in my account when they tried to take out money!

  31. Allison says:

Do the lean slim ultra and lean slim cleanse tablets actually work??

I ordered but then saw this and asked to cancel after trial period. They emailed back and said no further payments would be taken so i have only paid postage and packing just not sure whether to take the tablets when/if they arrive?

  32. eve says:

how do i cancel this ‘subscription’ … i have no email or anything and when i rang the company they said they had no details of me………..

  33. Emma says:

OH MY GOD….. I have been so stupid….I FELL FOR IT!!! £58 they have just taken from me… This company need dealing with….!!!!

    • marie says:

me to im so upset! im a single mum and living on a shoestring as it is, i have phoned my bank and they have blocked my card!
I have emailed lean slim but im not expecting a reply.

    • Tracy says:

Cancel your card immediately!! I also got stung for some fraud poker chips, linked to the site.

  34. Bell says:

I have also fallen victim to this scam and feel like a total fool.

I purchased these 2 products online for about £5 under the impression it was a 1 month trial. 2 weeks after ordering it i was charged £59.09 x 2 by the company.

I imediately called my bank who looked into it furthur and said that the terms and conditions state that if i did not call them to cancel a subscription within 2 weeks of ordering, i would automatically have this additonal sum of money taken out each month. As far as i was aware, this was simply a one off trial.

Before i had even realised this issue i tried to contact the company as the products were taking much longer than expected to arrive. I never once recieved a response from them.

My bank advised me to fill out a form they will send me which means any further money that lean slim would take, would be refunded by the bank. Stopping the actual card would not help the issue as once they have some detail they can still get money from a new card. The system is different to that of a Dirct debit.

I have now eventually got through to somebody at lean slim via the phone number given on the order confirmation.
I have cancelled the subscription (which i didnt even realised i was subscribed to!)and this should prevent any further charges.
Unfortunately the 2 charges of £59.09 cannot be refunded as it was all in their sneaky terms and conditions.

The number from the UK it is 08081683674

OMG I can not believe these companys are getting away with it when so many people are getting scammed and the banks are aware of it !!!
I too ordered free trial for month paid p&p days after recievinmg it was checking my bank account on line andf to my horror £118.48 had been taken out of my account.I contacted my bank who said there was too nothing they could do as i must of agreed in the terms and conditions.Like most people on here I wasnt aware I agreed to anything just gave my card details for p&p .The bank said i could cancle my card however there was no guarentee that would make a difference. The card i had used on line so i was supprised they could still use an expired card joke.I emailed the company awaitingan reply .Then I received ane mail welcoming me as a member i was fuming there was a conatct number on there 08081683674 I left a message after listening to the American answering service. No return call !!!!
I have since called my bank again and they have written to the company cancelling any further payments ,if they do take anymore the bank can refund me .Howerver, unfortunately what been taken is lost.I managed to get through on the phone today surprise surprise to be spoken to by guess what an AMERICAN lady who too told me after 14 days if you dont contact them they will take a payment out of your account as stated in there visable TERMs and Conditions .I explaind there was no contact details no phone number you just get a delivery note via email .I asked how can they take money out of peoples accounts before they have even tried the so called FREE TRIAL ?? all she kept refering to is terms and conditions and wanted to know how could she help me !!!! I cancelled any further my memebrship and she gave me a reference number.i told her I would be contacting trading standards as this is a SCAM everyone in UK who applies for the free trial ends up paying nearly £130.00
We need to alert everyone to this.Does anyone know if these tablets work as i am scared to try them now after being ripped off !!

Like you all I purchsed lean slim plus the extra. I GOT MY MONEY BACK ! ! !
It was a process as i got charged $87 dollars each for 2 products. LIke all the bank could do nothing so I changed the account. I e-mailed lean slim on 3 occassions regarding the product and they said if they got returned I would get a refund. I did this and tracked the UN-OPENED products and new they had been received. They then said it had to be prosessed as to check they had not been opened. OK I had 2 – 3 more e-mails and after 4 weeks I actually phoned the customer services. They asked for verification that the products were there which I said look at your e-mails which confirm. I got my refund of $174.00 with £10 costs. With postage and costs I lost about £20.. in total but I did get the rest back.
DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT

I too have been scammed with liposom and ultimate pro beri pills got in contact with the british mail firm that sent the pills who immediately got in touch with the american firm from florida. Surprisingly I have had an immediate response from them a phone call to say to return the goods and they will refund the money!Yippee! I have his name and phone number. Still going to cancel account but will leave it open till money returned of course taking all money out first as instructed by my bank. Will not be as stupid again will get health products from shop if needed.

    • lisa says:

  39. Yvonne says:

I’ve been posting on any adverts I could find relating to LEAN SLIM AND LEAN SLIM CLEANSE and sure many of you have aswell, for them to be checked out regarding scamming and guess what they are TOP OF THE LIST ON THIS SITE!!!!!!

In the words of Strictly KEEP POSTING!!!

    • I AM DISTRAUGHT. JUST GOT MY VISA STATEMENT AND FIND LEANSLIM HAVE TAKEN £122.70p. from my account for a FREE offer I responded to. I am new to internet use and this was the first advert I had ever responded to.Immediately rang bank who say”can’t do anything, you entered into an agreement with them, albeit unwittingly, send them an email and write to Visa dispute dept.”
They will not stop this firm taking money from me whenever they like and will not cancel my card as they say IF I ever get a refund I will not have a card to refund it to !!!.I only get £98 a week pension how can this be right?.

      • Yvonne says:

I do not know of anyone getting any refund – tell your bank to cancel your card I don’t want to upset you anymore but if they say they won’t cancel then cancel your account with them do not contact lean slim until you are sure your card or account are closed they have been known to take money as soon as they realise you are cancelling. Do you have a friend or relative who can give you some support with this if you need to change your bank account? When you contact your bank have you done it through customer services by phone or gone into the bank it might be worth going into the bank and asking them to look at this site – they can cancel you card they would if it had been stolen!!!!!!!!

    • jo says:

I was stupid enough to full for this like many of you have!! I saw it advertised on Jodie Marsh’s twitter!! I gave them my account details for the ‘free trail’ of £3.22!!! I find finally receive my free trail-both bottles came in the same bag even though they charged we twice for P&P. I then called my credit card company up today to pay of some money and wanted to ask them to stop anymore money coming out of my account, but they said it was too late as they had already taken £58.02 on the 2nd November TWICE!!! ive since emailed the customer services dept but as yet have not herd anything back. My credit card company cancelled my card and told be i had to contack Lean slim cleanse ltd. they have then given me a fraud number to contact on monday. I cant believe i =ve been so stupid! but when a well known person advertises it-you take their word!! I dont know what to do next? Will i ever see my money?? They sell Acai berries in holland and barret-y didnt i just go there?!! :(

      • Jules Baxrer says:

Same thing just happened to me – I AM GUTTED I HAVE BEEN SO STUPID !!!!!

NEVER AGAIN… my bank claming my money back and I am stopping card so no more payments come out !

      • diane says:

hi jo any chance you can list the email address for them I can only find a customer services telephone number. I can’t believe I fell for this 2 payments gone out of my account. My bank is stellar though and is sorting it for me.

  40. Marie says:

Just ordered Berri ultimate and paid for P&P then read this ;/ cancelled my card immediately and then read the small print of membership being £149.95 and thereafter a monthly fee of £12.95 with each supply! I don’t believe I have been so stupid! I never normally do things like this but was so tempted by the quick weight loss :( luckily though I have only paid £3.11 and card cancelled so they won’t get another penny from me!

    • Angela says:

      Hi Marie,
did the same thing as you. The product will still be shipped to you. Return it, unopened or refuse delivery. If you are returning it, return it to the USA address provided on the packet (costs around £8). Ensure you get proof of posting.

    • Chardanay says:

Hey Marie…omg on wed 2nd november i ordered Berri Ultimate Pro paid for P&P it cost like £2.95.. Just been reading these comments & i am trying to cancel my account but it being Sunday they are closed!! I will ring and cancel first thing tomorrow.. Hopefully they will not take out any more money??

  41. rachael says:

Yvonne, your advice seems really helpful, I fell for this scam and believe I ordered through the same company as you. I ordered this several weeks ago and have just been charged around £107 extra. I have rang my bank and instantly cancelled my card. Did u manage to get your money back? I have tried to find the company to check for contact details/ t&c’s etc but no luch as clicked on an advert originally! I havent even collected my product from the post office yet! But they havent sent out a second lot for which I have now been charged! Do you have any advice on what I could do to try and get a refund?

    • Yvonne says:

Hi Rachael – I was lucky they only got the P@P charge – just felt something was not quite right, contrary to what one of the Sophies posted there were NO T@Cs shown and I emailed straight away they then sent as an attachment the T@Cs which said it was a subscription and they would take money until I cancelled with them – I cancelled my card before contacting them, then I found this site and knew I had deffo been SCAMMED!!!!!!!!I emailed them cos I couldn’t get through on the phone – we are on a different time zone they never replied I eventually did get through and they said I could pay a re-stocking fee of $15 and send the product back unopened or keep them and pay $25 this was a per item charge – told them I had not got product and wouldn’t be paying anything card was cancelled so don’t even bother. Got email saying they couldn’t send any more cos my card provider had declined payment WHOOP WHOOP!!emailed straight back saying do not want any further contact with them or their product and to date have not heard anymore from them this order was placed on the 6th Sept so I hope it’s over and done with. Not had product anyway. I’m sorry but I think you will have lost what has been paid out but at least they won’t get anything else. I tried to get the web page up a few weeks ago but there is nothing of any interest so I think they have started to get the message – I’ve posted their number previously, once they know they can’t get anymore money I think they will email you and offer you a”special” deal they did me I suggest you email straight back as I did. Gave feedback to pop ups re this type of product saying they should check these companys out as they are possible financial scammers!! ads on facebook and have not had any pop up since. Post again if you need any more info or support and I will do my best.

  42. Wendy says:

I ordered these products from Pro action acai and I did read the terms and conditions but thought I would try them for a week and then cancel if I was not happy. The T&C states if you cancel within 14 days and return the left over products you would not be charged anymore money than the initial P&P costs. I luckily googled them and came across this page and realised I may have been scammed. I phoned my bank and cancelled my card. I then phoned the company and was met by an automated service, once I pressed 1 to cancel a message was read out saying they would now debit my card by £75.00. Now I only initially ordered these 3 days ago and am not intending to keep them. According to the terms and conditions i should not owe them anything So Sophie if this is not a scam then what is it. I have been lucky as I then phoned my bank to verify no money would be paid out to these scammers and they informed me that as soon as I cancelled they tried to extract £75.00 which my bank declined. From cancelling my subscription with them to them attempting to extract £75.00 happened in a matter of minutes. So thank you all for these posts as you have saved me from being scammed big time.

  43. Sophie says:

Please someone help me I’ve only just signed up for these free trials with pro action and I researched them and read the t and c’s and I thought everything would be ok but by chance ive come across this sight and am really worried I’m with Santander and am only 16 what should I do I’m petrified???

    • Angie says:

phone your bank and cancel your card they will re-issue you a new one sorry don’t know the number for them if you look through the posts I’m sure someone will have put the phone number on here – please if anyone has the number put it on for Sophie

    • ANGELA says:

Hi Sophie first thing id advise you to do is cancel your bank card and advise them of situation regarding this company , basically a scam.Email company then phone 0018669425005 (USA) seems to be their head office. Cancel order with them. U’llbe advised u’ll be eligible to pay for p&p and to return order unopened . SAVE all emails regarding your order. I did this two weeks ago – to date only p&p has been taken from my account. Havn’t received free trials yet nor heard from them despite email confirming cancellation. My bank also forwarded me a VISA DISPUTE FORM in event of any money being taken after my cancellation with them to enable me to claim it back. Hope this kinda helps you!

      • Kelly in Canada says:

I ordered the ultra stuff also, they sent me so many e-mails about 8 a week they all got confusing. They all said they were shipping my trial order within so many days and they did not come until at least 5 weeks later. They continued to send me the e-mails even after I recieved my trial order, about 5 a week which I deleted. I just recieved another months supply at 91.91 a bottle!!! The product did not work for me. So personally do not think it is worth it. So I am going to try to cancell by phoning that number given.
        Hope it works.

    • TMurray says:

Cancel your card imediately and they wont b able to process any further payments. i wish i’d seen this site b4 they virtually stole £116 off me.

  44. Pippa says:

I have just found this website and read through these comments. I just got off the phone with my bank and they confirmed my thoughts that, if you really want to be sure, cancel your account and get the balance transferred to a new one. Cancelling your card isn’t a sure way that these companies will not be able to take your money.
My ‘free trial’ didn’t come through for weeks either. And I’ve tried ringing the number, no answer.
Also, just to add that LeanSlim/LeanCleanse are not up there in the poll.
