“FREE TRIAL OFFERS” ARE NOT FREE!
They will charge your credit card $80 or more, sometimes within days of ordering, and often before you even receive the “free trial”. This is 4 times more than quality freeze-dried acai berry costs. AND, they send you crappy product which cost about 1/2 as much to produce.
YOU WILL BE SIGNED UP FOR A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION
They say they just charge you for shipping. In reality, once they get your credit card number they will charge you. You don’t realize they have signed you up for a subscription because they bury it in the fine print in their terms and conditions.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THE CHARGES
There will either be noone to contact, or, when you call their customer service number to get return authorization you are put on hold and shuffled between different people until you give up. Don’t believe me? Before you purchase, call or email them and ask them to please stop sending the product. You will get the runaround.
IF THEY ARE OFFERING A FREE TRIAL, IT IS A SCAM – EVERY SINGLE ONE !
None of them make it clear you are signing a subscription, and we have not yet found one that makes it easy to cancel the subscription.

FIGHT BACK – SPREAD THE WORD!

Ordered the trial on Thursday 02/02/12
read the reviews and decided it wasn’t for me.Rang 08081683674, spoke to a very nice person and when asked why I wanted to cancel I pointed out that I didn’t think I could afford to carry on with it after the trial period. Gave me a cancellation code over the phone and received a email cancellation this morning 03/02/12.No money taken from my account and the bank have put a stop on my debit card, and are providing me with a new card. I regard myself one of the lucky ones

  2. Keri Ann says:

This happened to me as well! two payments of £57 were taken out of my account AFTER id cancelled. I called them for a refund and they said theyd put the money back into my account within 28days. It still hasnt been put back into my account and I still have recieved the tablets i paid for. that was 90 days ago, for 3 weeks i rang them asking where the payment or tablets were and now “they cant do anything about it because its over 36 days” so i told them this was unacceptable and that i would be reporting them to my bank to make sure they notify people who have the same transactions on their account. Weren’t very helpful at all.

I’ve just seen this about the pills and scams, phone and cancelled with authorisation number. Have now phoned bank to cancel my bank card, fingers crossed they get banned from advertising these pills, etc.

  3. Kerri says:

These scams are why i refuse to use credit card details for these types of purchases… if they are genuine they’ll offer paypal facilities… at least they can’t keep on billing and billing via paypal.. not unless you authorise it..

I now email them and say, please give me paypal details.. and some do.

  4. john says:

    • Jane says:

I fell for the same scam. I caled them and they claimed I did not read the terms and conditions. I was offered the option of 25% refund or post the products back and get my refund in 21-25 days and the postage process in quite gruesome. So be aware, read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    • vicky cunningham says:

      Hi John.
Can I THANK YOU for phone number, how did you get it lol . have just phoned them as I took £1.99 & £2.95 then another £57.11 from my credit card !!!. They have said I WILL HAVE FULL REFUND back to my a/c within 21-28 days. Of course IF I don’t get it I WILL PHONE AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN until they get fed up listening to me. He asked had I read the terms & conditions, I explained there was NONE of the website I looked up. HERE’S TO THE NEXT 21 – 28 DAYS.

      • Andrea. says:

hi, I have just tried to contact Lean Slim by phone however the number is no longer available! I have contacted my bank abd they have put a stop on anymore money going out, they have advised that I create a paper trail,as they are going to investigate, and it shows that I tried to contact them through every channel available, they have taken over 100 pound from my account in less than a month. I hope this info will help any one who is in the same situation. These people are diabolical and need to be stopped. x

  6. pauline says:

They only decieved people with this so called free trial because it is never free at all they robbed me of £71.oo without my consent, my judgement is that l dont think their company and drugs are genuine , because they are not genuine they don,t have any name to protect, no intergrity, infact lm going to throw thier useless drug into the bin because it can never be genuine

  7. janette says:

Hi me again my mum got a letter today for a trial on slimming patches she was tempted to send for them so i had to come clean on what had happened to me.They say one patch worn for 24hrs will take 2lbs of and the cost is 44 pounds for 12. I am online checking out this laboratory which gives a phone number but no E mail address. Will let you no how i get on.

    • Sylvie says:

Hi Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone here and their advice!
I found i had been charged £57 and £38 for the slimming pills and had no idea what to do. the add i had saved on favourites had changed and i had no way of stopping this. I then found this site and went straight to my bank and explained to the staff what had happened. She called the banks debit fraud and they sent me a letter to sign and send back. so far i havent had to cancel my card and have had no further payments altho did get more pills!
The bank have sent me a letter today saying the company will not charge me again. I really hope this is over and that i will get my money back from the bank.
I wish everyone the best of luck with stopping this xx

      • Berry McCrae says:

I have also been a victim of the Lean Slim scam. After reading the other internet reports I realised that the two payments of £57+ for both Lean Slim Ultra and Lean slim Cleanse which have been taken from my credit card without my authorisation will probably not be refundable. On ringing their customer service I was told the Free period is only for 18 days and after that full costs are payable. I have been given a cancellation No. but worry that they will still continue to take unathorised payments. My credit card co. (Tesco Finance) state that it is not fraud as I voluntarily gave them my payment details and referred me to their Retail Disputes Dept who will look at the terms and conditions to see if I can get the contract stopped! A NIGHTMARE!! I notice that Facebook have taken down the advert which is deliberately misleading and does not explain the financial implications of this so-called “free trial”

        • tc says:

          hi

my sympathues – i’ve been duped in exactly the same way and tesco gave me the same info.

i’ve got a transaction refund number and cancellaton numbers from cleanxz (tel: 08081683674)and offered 50% refund

          i hope i haven’t been duped again

      • Zainab says:

Oh dear I had the same charge!!! :( I just started taking them aswell! I best go to my bank on Monday n explain things n hope they under stand :( x I tried to email them but no responses also they gave me two months supply of slimming pill… I feel SOOO foolish I just wanted to make slimming easy :( x

        • Bal says:

my sister had two lots arrive within days of each other ,if i recieve a second lot i will refuse them or take them and let them take me to court ,that sounds good ,show them up for what they are amanda

    • Irene says:

The same has just happened to me. I have been to the bank today and cancelled my card BUT this is not enough as they have set up A Recurring Visa Transaction so you have to fill in a form at the bank and the Fraud team will investigate. I don’t know if I will get any money back because I gave them my card details in the first place.

      • Gill says:

Same happened to me. Free trial then £150 taken from ny credit card account. Rang credit card company who informed me that they could not stop direct debit payments to company but might repay any payments made after I had cancelled my account with Lean Slim. They did not reply to my email in November and today I rang a telephone number found at the bottom of the label on one of the pill containers and spoke to an American called Chip who gave me a return address in Minnesota. I wait to see the outcome!!

        • trisha says:

same has happened to me, it was advertised as a FREE trial
first 2 amounts 1.99 were taken from account which was for shipping plus 2 emails confirming trial offer, nowhere does it state you have 14 days to cancel or that money will be taken from your account for trial product, and if you dont and every month after that.
i recived trial together with receipt for clearly showing 0.00 cost for product and 10.95 shipping
          today i recieved another package
with a receipt 0.00 for product 10.95 shipping.
puzzled i checked my bank account
and found that 57.95 had been taken, looking further i saw 3.95 and 2.99 taken aswell as the two 1.99′s i immediately called bank barclays, which said there was nothing they could do except a 31 day cancellation request, as i should of read the terms and conditions, tho i do not recall there being any terms and conditions with the advert and meantime these people can take what the want.
i found the phone number for the address 21 a/b cherry way etc county durham dh4 5rj on receipt 01913858355, absolutely scandless customer service, they then give you this
number 08081683674 this is freephone i checked with BT which is answered in america i contacted them, same awful customer service and finally got a cancellation code for both items and assured that refund will be 21 – 28 buisness days from them receiving returned goods. fingers crossed eh.or more likely fingers up.
i have contacted county durum police force as this is now clearly a scam as cherry way is in thier area. i suggest everyone should do this.good luck

          • suzy says:

            hi
would you let us know if you get a refund. i have copied down the phone numbers you gave out, thank you, and will try, but not holding out much luck? What did the police say, do you think its worthwhile calling them?
            Thanks again for the numbers

  12. Linda says:

I have just read your comments on the scam of free trials, sorry to say, I ordered a 2 week supply, and yesterday, I received 60 more pills. I checked my credit card statement and there was the shipping and handling charge, and then another charge of $110.00.
I was shocked, as I would never pay this much for those pills.
I have tried calling them, but, there is a message saying all their circuits are busy.
I would appreciate any suggestions you have. Thank you

    • gail says:

        • Anonymous says:

Hi Carly, I’m Cora. I read your message to Laura. Not sure if this is a late answer but what you can do is, call the credit card co. and tell them to just cancel your existing card and change it to a new number to avoid more charges from this scammer.

  14. Jeannette says:

I was scammed by Ultra slim/ultra cleanse. The irritating part of this was that I NEVER applied for a free trial of anything. I have no knowledge of how they got my card details, but they did.

On 04/01/2012 this company helped themselves to several payments, £38.00, £57.95, £3.47, £1.99, £2.96, and £1.99. I did not discover this until 05/01/2012 when I accessed my on-line banking. I immediately contacted my bank and spoke to a member of staff in the fraud department. He told me that they would investigate and the money would be back in my account, this would take around 21 days. I cancelled all my cards that were linked to the account, and was assured by this member of staff at Santander, that this company would have no future access to my account.

After contacting the bank, I googled this company and sent an e-mail to the customer services dept. I was furious. I explained to them what had happened, and that I was going down to my local police station to make a formal complaint as what this was theft as well as fraud. After reading all the blogs on this site I was panicked. I told this company I wanted all the money back, and was not about to settle with excuses and garbage to the liking of, well we’ll deduct the P&P.

I have accessed my bank today 06/01/2012 (after 2pm), and every penny they took has been returned. I am not sure as to whether the bank has refunded the money or if it was this awful company. But I am sooooo happy that it’s back!!!

  15. Lean slim/ lean clense says:

I too was a victim of this scam! They had taken money out of my account 4 times within a few days! Which amounted to £150 I have been told by Halifax that I have no way of getting my money back and have called them to be put through to a representative to then be told by an answer phone it has been shut down and going through legal proceedings since 22 November but some how they was able to take money out of my account on the 14 December!! I’m disgusted and appalled by the whole scam and feel so stupid! My heart goes out to everyone that has been a victim to this heartless scam,

    • Sarah says:

      Leane cleanse/ Leane slim

I have also been a victim of this scam. Credit card company says it is not fraud. They took 2 payments of £3.99 followed 2 weeks later by 2 payments of £57.99 no more products arrived. I have no invoice and no contact info for the company. Tried to e-mail them with no response.

  16. charles says:

since your card was canceled maybe your refund was declined by your bank.

  17. Jeannette says:

Today I went to my on-line banking only to discover that money had been taken out of my account, by someone named LeanCleanse. I have never heard of them, and most certainly did not sign up for a free trial of anything????

The amounts of £38.00 and £57.95 on the 04/01/2012. I made the discovery today 05/01/2012, and immedialtely called my bank. They have cancelled my card and assured me that these people WILL NOT be able to access my account EVER.

I was also told by the banks fraud department that the funds that were taken will be refunded to me within the next 21 days (fingers crossed).

I will update you all as soon as I have some further news. I pray that this is the end of it.

  18. Rhian says:

For those of you who have spoken to Mark or Chris and been promised a refund please DO NOT bet on it. Cancel your cards, go to your bank and double chaeck they have been cancelled.
I was a victim of this scam along with everyone else on here, I emailed the companies and recieved cancellation numbers back, I spoke to Mark (think it was his first day as when he did not know an answer to my question he asked his mate who said ‘just follow the script’) and was assured a refund was on its way. Well – shocker -6 weeks on and NO refund. I also took the safeguard of cancelling my debit card BUT I have been billed for another £60 odd 3 weeks after cancelling the card. I am now in dispute with my bank (Santander) and am hopefully trying to claim back the £180 I am out of pocket by using the debitcard chargeback scheme. See details on Martin Lewis’s MSE website for how to do this. Please take it as a warning and double double check you cancel your cards. As for Santander they will be losing a customer once its all sorted one way or another as I cannot believe in this day and age they can allow thier customers to be robbed and still let it happen when the customer tries to prevent it happening again. Rant over but please do not accept this companies assurances that you have had your ‘subscription’ cancelled or that £ is on its way back to you. You will be a long time holding your breath.

    • charles says:

maybe you did not receive your refund because you canceled your card.

    • Christine says:

I took the free trial not thinking anything about it. Next thing I know is they took 2 lots of £75 for the two items I recieved.. I was fortunate to realise the same day they took it and notified my bank.. I cancelled my debit card the bank gave me back one of the £75′s but I had to fight for the other. I eventually got it all back as a good will gesture. NOW I READ THE TERM FIRST before I buy. I was lucky

    • Anonymous says:

I too was a victem of Lean Slim (NOT this company), however after much run around they refunded my money less $20 for each bottle, dont ask me why but its better than getting ripped off for $180 that they put on my credit card, NEVER AGAIN

      • sheila randall says:

How did you get your refund – no please to contact re LeanSlim – I can find none.

Address is Colossal, 21A/B Cherry Way, Dubmire Industrial estate, Fence Houses, Co Durham.

I have no name or website for them – desperate!

        • Rita says:

Redrose Manufacturing Ltd. also share that address. They have 2 websites – “ultratrim.co.uk” and “redrosemfg.com.”. Probably same company. I suspect that is an accommodation address – if you go onto google earth with that address the site does not look occupied.

    • EFC Mama says:

To everyone who has been taken in by this scam (including me…)

Here’s what I did, and it worked

When you call (I am in Canada, and I called the customer service number

      UK and Europe: 0808-168-3674
      Canada and America: 1-866-942-5005)

The first thing they will ask is if you read the terms and conditions… tell them YES, even if you didn’t – this is basis of their operation – they rely on people not reading it fully.

Tell them that their 14 day cancellation policy is ineffective, because you did not even receive the free sample before they charged your credit card (by the way, cancelling your card does not work – they have basically got an authorization from you for regular payments – they can take them even if you cancel the card)

Make sure you get a cancellation number for BOTH products (Lean Slim Ultra and Lean Slim Cleanse), and a refund number for BOTH charges to your account.

Then write to the customer service email

      (customerservice@leanslimultra.com)

telling them all the cancellation numbers and refund numbers – get the name of the person you spoke to, and confirm that as well, and advise them that you consider this email as full and final cancellation of your contract with them. Say that any further attempts to take money from your credit card will instigate a fraud investigation.

I did this (it took me all afternoon, and I felt as sick as a pig that I had been taken in by this crap) but I did get some of my money back (they won’t refund it all), and I got an email from them confirming that my subscriptions had been cancelled. No further charges have been made. It’s OVER, thank God.

Good luck everyone – keep at it and you will win. They rely on people giving up, and not knowing what to do.

      • jacqui crew says:

Hi – help – it has just happened to me from Colassal and they have taken £10.95 out of my bank account – can anyone give me their number

      • LORNA says:

To EFC Mama – many thanks for taking the time and trouble to advise us of what to do about this appalling fraudulent scam. I rang the number you stated and followed your instructions. I now await to see if I will be refunded or whether a further amount will be taken from my account. Despite being assured by ‘Tim B’ from LeanSlim that my account has been cancelled, I have no trust in this organisation. It has highlighted the fact that without reading the small print, customers can inadvertently be tricked into a Continuous Authority Payment. I only hope that the UK government closes the loophole in this respect so this becomes illegal. As for FACEBOOK – take note: I will never trust an advert on Facebook again. You are in danger of losing significant advertising revenue if you allow such charlatans to advertise on Facebook. Shame on you all. As a footnote, I would suggest you dump any supplements you’ve received from LeanSlim – God knows what’s in them. If they are prepared to con customers in this way, the capsules could be full of sawdust for all we know…

  19. Cynthia says:

Cannot believe that so amny of us are being taken in by the above Company lets up M & S come up with something.

    • Mark says:

I too got caught but my credit card company reckon that if they send me a letter to sign stating that I did not authorise any such repeat transactions other than the original “free sample” I will get my money back.
I was stung for $87.42 after the initial £4.99 and lo and behold another shipment arrived today with a bill for £10.95 shipping charged. The bill included a shipping address here in England. It is about 60 miles from me but if anyone is nearer the address is:

      COLOSSAL
      21A/B CHERRY WAY
      DUBMIRE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
      FENCEHOUSES
      COUNTY DURHAM
      DH4 5RJ

I will let you know how I get on with the credit card refund.

      • Lorraine says:

I too was taken in by the scammers!! I have let my credit card company know and they told me the same as they told you, I am writing to leanslim cancelling my subscription (that I did not know I wanted) and sending it to my credit card campany who will then be able to cancell any transactions leanslim try to take out, hopefully all will go according to plan as it sickens me to think I was foolish enough to be taken in by these chancers.

  20. Dear sirs,

I too have been taken in by Lean Slim and Lean Cleanse. I fell for the free trial, and although £15.97 was taken from my bank account I did not receive any products. That was on 15th. Of December. I see a further £95.96 has been taken from my account and yet nothing has arrived.I now cannot find their website or any details of then to contact.
Can anyone help? I need this information so as the bank can make inquiries.

    • catherine says:

I have been a victim of this unscrupulous bunch of villians too. I did not receive my free trial and now £38.95 has been taken from my bank account. However I have to say that the 08081683674 number was answered promptly this morning and without any fuss I have cancelled my account, been given a cancellation code and a 35% refund ( also with a code ) on the money taken out this morning. I was offered a full refund – $10 for p & p if I returned the product but this seemed too much hassle and how knows if I will ever get it! I am also taking the extra precaution of informing my bank about this in case of this company attempting to take money again. Its been a lesson learnt the hard way but at least I know now NEVER to try anything like this again.

Also been a victim – although I clicked on a link via facebook. . . maybe we should report them to Facebook!

I have never recieved any products but they have taken over £100 out of my acount! Spoke to a guy named Chris, Agent No 3 he calls himself and he said it was policy to only refund in full when product received – I told him I had never recieved anything so how the hell was I going to send it back. f**king moron. I have written a letter of complaint but no doubt that will bounce back as they do seem to be non existant! I am all up for bringing these bastards down, can we not Watchdog them!!?

I also have ben taken in with this SCAM and have got Marks and Spencer fraud department onto these people as like you I cannot make caontact with them and received the exact same response not receiving the free trial until yet another one had been sent. Beware of these people I do hope M & S will be able to help. Its just good to know that you are not on your own,

    • Gwen Collins says:

I too have been taken in by Lean Slim and I did not recieve my trial offer!! and have been charged another £95.56.

I phoned them on 08081683674 and got them to send me a cancelation e.mail so that I have proof that I ended the agreement with them that i was unaware that I had entered.

      Hope this helps

    • Carl Gardner says:

I too have fallen for the same scam as many others. When I made the ‘free offer’ order, I never received a confirmation from the company – and like other people I cannot now find the website. Yesterday I received a package of 60 x Lean Slim tablets from Colossal in Durham with an invoice for £10.95 shipping — but I have found that they have debited £60-07 from my credit card. I have contacted my credit card company and cancelled the card — they tell me there is no way that further payments can be debited from my new card. She has told me to write to the company in Durham, returning the tablets and cancelling the subscription, with a copy to the Trading Standards office for the area. My credit card company thinks I will get a refund via their fraud office within 6 weeks.

So like everyone else i thought what a good and easy way to loose some weight…. Until i found this website. I have just oreded both the cleanse and the ultra and now i am panicing after what i have read on here!!! I have just phoned the number given in my email to be told because i have just orderd it is not on their computers yet so i have to wait until Monday and ohone back then and someone will be able to cancel my order for me. Can anyone tell me what i need to do at my bank now? Do i go in and cancel the transaction or what if the money hasnt actualy come out yet??!

    • Peter Biddulph says:

GO TO YOUR BANK OR PHONE THEM AND CANCEL THIS PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY. GET THE NAME OF THE BANK EMPLOYEE YOU REPORTED THIS TO

    • admin says:

DO NOT WAIT for them to charge your card. Cancel it now! We have not found any company that had free trials to be a legit company.

    • SuzyK says:

I too was “taken in” by the bumf from leanslimultra & leanslimcleanse! I ordered within this last week but have not received my “free Trial” as yet. After coming across this site & reading just how much people have been ripped off with this scam, I immediately cancelled my credit card which will be replaced within the next 7-10days. I’m one of the fortunate ones where no payment(s) have been taken (could be because of the christmas holidays?), but I am still fuming that people like the scum they are, are allowed to get away with this…..& for the last few years at that!!! I hope that you all get your money back, & that these bar-stewards burn in hell……….

    • katrina says:

like many others, i oredered a free trial (not from this company – from lean spa) without looking too much into it. after ordering the product, i have spoken to my gp who said cos of health reasons, it wasnt advisable to take them. so i phoned to cancel. spoke to Mark who basically thought i was lying by saying “so your doctor has said its not safe for you to take herbal tablets and within the half hour of signing up you managed to speak to your gp” after explaining that my gp lived next door and what my health conditions were, he gave me a cancellation number and said it was cancelled. LETS WAIT AND SEE

      • Gemma stevenson says:

Hmm i really cant believe they are getting away with taking so much money off people!! At end of the day doesnt matter what the reason we still have the right to cancel the orders made. I went into my bank today and talked to them, they have said if i phone up and cancel my order and they still take money out my account they will get the fraud dep. onto them and they will refund me the money!! Dont just give up people even you bank even if you have already lost money because your bank may refund you aswell and hopefuly stop these horrid people who think they can take money off us and nothing will happen to them!!

  22. Lean Rip Off says:

So they have taken me for about $400 now. At first it looked like just the initial $5.00 but now they have charged my card $93.00 or 4 seperate occaisions in only 1 month! Merry Freekin Christmas!

  23. Kevin Hull says:

Thanks to this site I was able to contact my credit card company the same day the $7.95 and $4.95 charges for the “Free Trial Offer” went through. They had me send emails to CCBill (the processing company) and the two product companies informing them that they were not to put ANY further charges through, and if they did that they charges would be reversed. My credit card company told me to keep copies of those letters and with them I would have no problem getting any further charges reversed.

If not for this site I would have been totally victimized by these scam artists.

    Thank you very much!

The only guarantee with lean slim products is you will deffo loose £’s!!!!

  25. Kris says:

Like so many i fell for the same thing, after contacting LeanSlim i’ve managed to cancel the subscription and my bank has set up a payment block. I was just reading some of the posts and i was wondering, do you have to return the product in order to cancel the subscription? Or is that just to try for a refund? Their T&C’s read like pigeon english so it’s hard to make any sense out of them.

  26. Kim says:

I have had the same problem as the majority of people. I called 0808 168 3674 and after about 12 minutes I got through and was able to cancel both subscriptions and request a refund as I had emailed them within the 30 days after signing up for the “free” trial.

Good luck to you all and don’t give up without a fight

    • Sarah says:

I cancelled my account with them on the 30th November as I hadn’t received my trial and they had still taken over £100 from my account. The person I spoke to said I could receive a full refund. I’ve just called them back and they say there is no record of me being granted a refund, and the guy I spoke to tried to make out that I was imagining it. The guy’s name was Chip, and apparently he is the floor manager, and there was no one above him that I could speak to. He also made out that I hadn’t read the terms and conditions, but I definitely had, I made sure I read them before I rang back the last time. I’ll definitely be ringing back, whether they pick up the phone to me is a different story.

    • GAIL MARSH says:

They did exactly the same to me and I did phone and they told me it was in the small print and could only offer me a 50% rebate and I still haven’t received any tablets or the rebate, and that I would have to call again to cancel the contract. I expect the call rate is really high as well!

I don’t expect to get the rebate or the tablets! A complete con!!!! Do not fall for it!

I have just spoken to two men in the company and found the telephone number on my credit card statement where I realized how much they were charging for a free trial!

I obviously did not read the terms and conditions, very stupidly but would like as many people as possible to ring and shout at them. I am a pensioner and if I had realized how much this was going to cost me would never have used the webs ite.
      Their number is 0844 745 4433

  32. KC says:

LeanSlim is horrendous. I had a moment of stupidity and ordered a free trial completely unaware that I was signing up to a programme. I have been away and on my return I have 3 packages. Cancelled immediately but informed by Halifax that since I have signed up to something there is nothing they can do. LeanSlim inform me that if I returned the product delivered in the last 30 days I would get a refund (they refused to refund the previous packages despite none of the products having been opened). One payment of £55.24 was made into my account. They ignored the other. Having spoken to Chip today I was informed this may have been because the other bottle was damaged. There is no proof of this but they have deducted 15 $ regardless… the first time I called a woman hung up on me since she “did not like my tone of voice”!? This company is evil but if you wish to see any of your money it would seem you just have to deep breath and be polite and hope for the best since no one else is going to help you.

  33. S McAloon says:

I have read all of your comments, and I know just how frustrating this all is. I have been charged £57.52 for 60 tablets!!So much for my “Free Trial”. Are they for real?
OHMIGOD probably thee most infuriating conversation I have ever had to endure with Nick from Lean Slim. Although I have to say I put him straight right from the start to not bother with his offers, and bull**** excuses. As a result I got my cancellation number within 11 minutes and a postal address to return my unopened product. Address is 3377 – A Chanblee Tucker Road, 209 Atlanta Georgia 30341. Telephone number 0018669425005. I hope this is help to some of you. What a crumby job he has…. Good luck in claiming your hard earned cash back. Robbers.

  34. Me says:

I too am struggling with LeanSlim company to get my money back! I did read too late about subscription fees !!!

    • Sue says:

I signed up for a free trial with LeanSlim and received the goods within a few days but then the trouble started. I was under the impression that it was a 30 day trial but after less than 10 days my bank account was debited with £57.84 and £57.18 plus 4 £1 overseas transaction charges. I have just phoned the number from the email I received from them welcoming me to the ‘family’ 08081683674 and spoke to Chip. After about 10 minutes of him telling me IO should have read the terms and conditions and that I had opened the product so I couldn’t return it, he agreed to refund 50% of the costs but would not refund the overseas transaction costs. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this scam. I intend to contact Trading Standards for advice.

Maria, I was successful this evening contacting this company. I rang 001 8669425005 and spoke with Nick. I have to say I gave him absolutely no opportunity to fob me off. I was so cross. I got my cancellation number and an address to post the unopened product to 3577-A Chanblee Tucker Road, 209 Atlanta Georgia 30341. I hope this is of some help to you.

Make sure if you have paid by card you cancel the card and report the fraud. You are covered if the goods aren’t delivered so always pay by credit card.

    • Lily says:

You will have to call them because they no longer accept emails. They will just keep talking to try to frustrate you into hanging up but be persistent and insist on getting a cancelation number. Also get the name of the person you are speaking with. They will also give you instructions on “how” to return the product (if you even received them). Then call your credit card company and give them the cancelation number, the name of the person you spoke with and tell them you want to dispute the charges. Make sure you send the product back by registered mail or some other way which you can verify you sent it back to them. Good luck!!!

      • Angie says:

I havent even recieved my ‘Free Trial’ goods. Noticed a pending transaction on my account on Friday and queried it with bank. They told me who it was and that I would have to wait until the amout has cleared from my account. It has been reported to Fraud department, but because I paid an original payment for P&P wiling they say its not Fraud! I now have to wait and see if I can get payment reversesed through bank and cancel my card. All this because U wanted to loose a few pounds. Never again!!

  37. Emma says:

Like many of you, I ordered Lean Slim Cleanse and Lean Slim Ultra. They took over 10 days to arrive and after the 14th day they charged me around £55 and £58 for both. I was horrified, I telephoned the customer service number and they did answer and agreed to refund me one of the charges. (Which I haven’t yet seen). I am cancelling by email the whole trial and have cancelled my bank card as an insurance policy.
I intend to go through my bank’s visa debit fraud policy to regain the other charge but it could take 45 days or more, Visa standard process and Lean Slim Cleanse may dispute it. They said I didn’t read the terms and conditions but I did and it was falsely represented as a 30 day FREE trial not a 14 day trial with 4 days use of the product!
Beware, cancel your card immediately, call or email them to cnacel the trial and then apply for refund via the visa dispute process…

    • Lily says:

I ordered a TRIAL OFFER of Lean Slim and the Cleanse at the end of October. It was supposed to arrive within about 5 days. I was hoping to have it for at least a week before I went on vacation. It did not arrive until a few days before I got back. I then noticed on my credit card account that not only was I charged for the so called free trial, I was also charged over $160 twice for products I still haven’t received. I emailed them and got no response. Finally a week later, I called them and spent a half hour on the phone speaking with a male who seemed like he was reading from script because all he kept saying over and over again was “almost everyone who tried it says our product works and are happy with it”. I kept saying I am NOT happy, I am being ripped off for something I haven’t even received and he started the whole speal again. I was so frustrated and angry. Finally, after I asked him if he was stupid and had a hearing problem he finally gave me a cancelaton number. I also called my credit card company and they are disputing the amounts taken. Then today I received an email saying I could be charged with mail fraud. By God let them try!!!! I have never been so disgusted and angry. This is a terrible rip off so PLEASE DO NOT ORDER from it.

      • Pam says:

I’ve had the exact same experience. Managed to cancel by being patient and persistent with an incoherent child called Tim and have since received the threatening email. It’s a load of rubbish designed to intimidate. I was tempted to reply and educate them about British consumer law but this is all a game to these scammers so not worth the effort. Bloody expensive lesson to learn though!

    • Beryl says:

Thanking my stars for this site, although I had already ordered LeanSlim. However, the goods have still not arrived (after 14 days) so I have phoned and cancelled and got a cancellation number. Have e-mailed confirming the cancellation and quoting the number, and also informed my credit card company, so apart from the initial postage, no further payments will be authorised. Hope others have been saved from this scam by our experience!

    • John SL says:

Like all of you I have been ripped off. I was charged a few pounds for the postage of the original pills which arrived, and then 2 @ £57. I rang them, and was told that I had signed up, and they said they had cancelled the second lot of charges. Then a second package of pills arrived.
The address in the UK is not far from me, so I will go and see what goes on when I get a moment.
It is Colossal, 21 A/B Cherry Way, Dubmire Ind Est, Fence Houses (but that is really Fencehouses) Co Durham DH4 5RJ, and no Company No or VAT number given.
      A total rip off.

      • Mrs MM says:

please could you tell me how to get in touch with Colossal as I have no contact from them by e-mail and postal invoice has no contacts on. Thank you

Ordered via nutrascience (since figured out they are also known as proaction) and found this page the next morning! Phoned immediately on 0844 745 1722, got through and told them i wanted to cancel. They said products had already been dispatched (likely story) but they gave me RMA numbers for the 2 products (MAXtrim & TARGETslim, ProCleanse) and said to return them. I then sent them an email basically repeating our phone convo (so i had a hard copy) and said if any more than £4.98 was taken from my card, which was for shipping & handling, then i would seek legal action. Told them i was sending via recorded mail and wanted email confirmation that everything was cancelled, inc the auto home delivery program i had apparently agreed to under T&C. This all done this morning so hvnt reveived anything yet. Here’s hoping they listen…

I couldn’t find any information this would happen. I phoned 0808 168374 where i was told that if you don’t cancel your subscription before your free trial ends they simply keep on shipping you product and charge you. They do allow you to cancel and get a partial refund i got all but £15 back. They do try and talk you into continuing at a lowered price but just be forcefull and tell them not at this time!

I have been told that they have been cancelled and i should not be charged any more money as of today. I got through on this number really quickly. Fingers crossed it actually works and that this is cancelled. I have only lost £3.47 in p and p.

Just wanted to say I have just spoken to someone on 08081683674 and they have cancelled it for me. I could hear in the background loads of other accounts being cancelled. The man on the phone said that they had just taken over the customer services for Leanslim and were getting hundreds of calls. He did try to get me to carry on, but I said no way, my doctor had said it might interfere with my thyroid meds (total lie!). Anyway, I got an email to confirm the cancellation within minutes. Shall not be doing anything as stupid as that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snap, I got a bloke trying to encourage me not to cancel but I just said they made me ill. I forwarded the cancellation email to my cc company as confirmation no more payments should be made.

Hi Vicky, you need to cancel your card as soon as possible, even if you tell your bank it has been stolen, they can’t take any more money if the card doesn’t exist. Email the company and tell them you’ve cancelled your card so they cant take any further payments. Ask them for a cancellation number. Send back any pills you get, recorded delivery, with your name and address and order number inside. hope this helps a little xx

i rang that number at 3.15 this afternoon and it was answered straight away and the chap i spoke to said he had cancelled the items for me immediately – i told them the doctor had advised me to cancel due to the product making me ill, so i am hoping it is now finished with – i have a parcel to return to them though, but hopefully no more cash coming out of my account. keep trying 08081683674

  44. ed worrall says:

I have experianced a scam with Leanslim who had taken £57.00 out of my account. I realised 10days ago and dispite numerious e-mails to them demanding my money back i heard nothing. After reading various comments above I visited my bank this morning (Barclays)unfortunatly they had taken another £52 only this morning. I have now stopped the fraud and my bank will wright to me to confirm and once I receive confirmation (within 48hrs) any further deductions will be at Barclays expence so I must keep the letter as confirmation by scanning it onto my PC.

    Advice from my bank

1,never give details when you are asked to pay postage for free samples.

2, If you discover a scam do not contact the people involved as this will allert them that you are on to them and they will make further deductions from your account as they did mine.

    3. go immediatley to you bank who will give you advice an a free phone call from their premises to contact their fraud department.

Did you get a cancellation reference when you called? Give your bank the telephone number you called to cancel and your cancellation reference and ask the dispute team to take over it for you.

    • Lizzie says:

Bank need to wait 15 days before they can do anything. So long as the company have your number there is very little you can do.

    • Lizzie says:

I have had more money taken last Friday, when I called the customer services, they said my account had been cancelled and knew nothing about the money being taken. I have a cancellation number and this happened 9 November. Tim (from Lean slim) said it was not their company who had taken the money and I should contact my bank to find a telephone number and call them. I have also (today Monday) received more pills from an address in Co Durham, no contact telephone number. paperwork shows the name Cleanxz.com, It also shows £10.95 post & pkg chrage, have tried this address to no avail.
This is a scam, which unfortunately appears little can be done about it. I have unaswered emails. I am so angry.

      • Naomi says:

i am the same, i purchased the leanslim on a whim because it was a free trial, i thought it was a bit dodgy when i ordered but i thought what the hell…just got another lot in the post a moneth later costing me 10.95 from a place in co.durham the same as you lizzie! i’ve emailed to cancel the subscription i didn’t know i had, am i going to have to cancel my card? xx

  47. Emma says:

Don’t give up people an dodn’t just accept a cencellation of your subscription. I also stupidly fell for this scam. After a 20 minute phonecall to customer services in the USA I still got nowhere. I was told over and over again that T&C’s states I would be signed up however I received no T&Cs and also no tablets !!! I was furious. I wrote a very very very strongly worded email to customer service:

    customerservice@leanslimultra.com

I told them I was taking legal action and that I was also referring my case to The Office of Fair Trade for investiagyion under the Consumer Rights Act……….. Hey presto, within 5 days I had a very apolgetic email and a refund of the whole amount they had taken from my account, and my subscription was cancelled with no further cost !!!
Don’t let them get away with it. Fight back so that this doesnt happen to anyone else. Good luck xxx

I’ve been a victim of this scam as well. I’m frantically trying to cancel the subscription. I’ve got the delivery note saying Lean Slim & Lean Cleanse were dispatched from Colossal in County Durham but I can’t find a number. Has anyone else in the UK had the same and do you have a number so I can call and cancel?

    • Elaine says:

Hi does anyone have a contact number for UK residents as it appears they have been dipping into my account on a weekly basis… so angry.. £500 so far, did not even know till today when i received a package three months after the trial sample.. arghh. Please tell me if anyone has got their money back and who to contact? thanks

      • Sally says:

        Hi Elaine,
I’ve managed to cancel my subscription by calling the following number 0808 16 83674. They confirmed the cancellation and gave me a reference number. It’s a freephone number I believe.

    • Colette says:

I have just opened by credit card statement and found I have been charged £235 this month by ProAction Acai. I ordered in October two products which cost £4.95 each. I was sent more products this week and thought they must be free samples! I phoned my bank and they said I have to phone the company to cancel further orders, which I have by answerphone, and they sent me email to confirm cancellation, but I will phone Monday when they are open. My credit card company said that when ordering such websites have an already ticked option which says you are subscribing to monthly supplies, and people should untick that box. They said its not fraud. Credit card co said 9 times out of 10 people get their money back, and return product, but I have to try and resolve myself and if can’t Bank will deal with complaint.

      • CAROILNE says:

HI COLLETTE I HAVE ALSO BEEN CHARGED FOR THIS PRODUCT WHEN MY VISA BILL CAME IN TODAY MY PRODUCT CAME FROM THE USA, I WAS CHARGED £57 I WANT TO STOP THIS TRANSACTION FROM MY CREDIT CARD. I WILL PHONE ON MONDAY HOPEFULLY I GET SOME SUCCESS

    • Anonymous says:

i have had another lot today delivered from the same address one i had not ordered a second lot two they smell completely different from my first lot

    • Andrea says:

I cancelled my subscription by calling 0808 16 83674 (It’s a free phone number)- You just have to give them your Surname and they should be able to cancel your subscription. I called them on Monday at 1 and after around 5 minutes got through (thank goodness). You may have to return your items to the States which has been a problem for some so I’m just keeping mine and paying the £20 for each bottle because it meant that my subscription was cancelled straight away. Good luck.

well what an idiot i am,saw a fantastic free trial offer for perfect radiance and revita derm anti-wrinkle products just pay £3.95 each p&p.no t’s&c’s on web page and thought yeah i will give that a go and then saw another for lean slim and lean cleanse, same offer just pay p&p,again no t’s&cs.ordered all 4 items and this morning i found a £79.99 charge on my credit card for anti-winkle company.got on to cap one cc straight away.I was lucky because i had an email off this company with an actual telephone number so cap one manager phoned them and has hopefully got the £79.99 refunded to my account and further transactions stopped.now just have to deal with second company(lean slim)i have never had an email off them so no telephone number but i have a british return address so hopeful that i can put a stop to this one too, wish me luck!!!!

    • Sally says:

I managed to get a number from my credit card statement 001 866 942 9990 and also 0808 168 3674 for EU customers.
At the moment all I’m getting is a recorded message saying to try after the holidays, which makes sense if they are celebrating Thanksgiving, so wish me luck for a successful cancellation on Monday

    • Rosie Butler says:

Yes, I did exactly the same. What is the cap one cc you mention, please? I wonder if they can help me.

  50. Avril Ford` says:
