I am so shocked at this scam. I only have an emergency account for certain things and looked today and found it overdrawn. I will be at the bank tomorrow to try and get this unauthorised pilfering of my hard earned stopped. I am also going to contact them but feel sure that I going to lose some cash befor it is stopped.

Default check box may not be illegal but why was it done in the first place. If the company wanted it done properly people wouldn’t have been able to place an order without checking the box first. Sorry Sophie that won’t wash, it was ticked by default to catch as many vulnerable people as it could.Have you never made a mistake in your life.If you haven’t then your the world’s first perfect woman

one has to ask why the terms & conditions box was ticked by default.Surely this should be left to the person reading them.No point asking for the terms to be read and then ticking the box for them. I personally have never seen a terms & conditions box ticked by default, but then I haven’t accessed any scam websites before

Having read all these letters/reviews it strkes me that some banks are helpful others are not. Okay some people read the terms and conditions others didn’t(for whatever reason ) were not all perfect but I think banks should be a bit more loyal to their customers after all they expect it from us. They should remember they don’t always get it right as the state of the country shows. If people have made a mistake then the least the bank do is to try help them out of it.

Further to my review of yesterday there is one other thing you can do to prevent them taking out unauthorised payments. If you have a current a/c and a savings account and do online banking with the same bank transfer your current account money into your savings account temporarily and just leave enough for your daily use. When they try to take money from your account if there isn’t enough for their demand their request will be declined with no bank charges to you.The bank will then refer them back to you. Needless to repeat what you’ll tell them. They probably won’t try any more then you can transfer your money back to your current account

Ordered the trial on Thursday 02/02/12
read the reviews and decided it wasn’t for me.Rang 08081683674, spoke to a very nice person and when asked why I wanted to cancel I pointed out that I didn’t think I could afford to carry on with it after the trial period. Gave me a cancellation code over the phone and received a email cancellation this morning 03/02/12.No money taken from my account and the bank have put a stop on my debit card, and are providing me with a new card. I regard myself one of the lucky ones
