I just went though the Acai Max Cleanse phone call. Silly me hung up. Should have persevered, because 3 hours later, the support number has been disconnected. But seriously, what can you do? I will cancel my credit card, my 10 days aren't up, but I'm pretty sure I won't get any cancellation. Is there a place to report this, I'm tired of looking through the internet and finding complaints but no solutions.
Apparently the news reporter isn't real. The company isn't recognized by the Today Show, ABC, and whatever is listed on their site. Why can't they be shut down, or have their website shut down.
The woman on the phone when I got through actually asked me 15 times how to spell my name. I knew I was in trouble. Then another 10x for my ZIP code, pretending like she didn't know the difference between a postal code and a zip code. I wanted to keep on the line, but my lunch hour was over, and like I said, calling back after work, the numbers had been disconnected.
If anyone knows the steps to follow to bring charges or get my money back, please respond here, or to myself.
Thanks.

Ha ha, the best part is these complaint comments start in Jan 2009. As of this posting (March 9th, 2010) the companies are STILL making money off people! I am going to start selling Acai Berry pills ASAP! I will give you all a free trial membership if you sign up with me today!

Stay away from <strong>COLNEX.com</strong>. This company offer FREE Trail. DON"T BELIEVE IT NO FREE LUNCH!! The package arrived and after reading the contents of the Colnex product I discovered an ingredient that I was allergic to and sent it back immediately.
They ended up charging my account under under 3 different names. Charge 1 was $39.95 from Revampdetox the next charge was from wellnesslab for $86.42 3rd charge was $89.89 I called the Customer Service Dept
a few times and each time I had the runaround given me. I went to the bank and cancelled that credit card.
Then I e-mailed FL Attorney General the Hollywood police dept and the PA Attorney General. After months of
paperwork with the Attorney Generals Colnex credited my closed account with just two charges and after months of papperwork they credited my closed account with $86.15 which was not the $89.89 but
I e-mailed them back and said "I won't fight you for the $3.74 but they are now on record with Attorney Generals and Hollywood Police Dept.
How can we stop these people. Even if they only keep $3.74 from every customer they can make Millions.
Thank you for letting me vent.

Yes.. I have little legitimate to say besides..
It's true.
It's a bunch of crap, and it made me very angry, as I almost fell for it.
THAT NEWS SITE mentioned. Don't fall for that, I beg of you. I almost did, and I feel like an absolute moron.
But thank you for making me feel stupid, truly.

Marie,

Glad we were able to help you avoid the free trial scams.

Purchasing from GNC is safe and a decent value, but they do not sell freeze dried Acai, which is by far the best. You can get 100% freeze dried acai for about $17 from
<a href="http://acaiberrysite.com/store/" rel="nofollow"><strong>our store</strong></a>, and for a little bit more from amazonthunder.com or acairoots.com.

Thanks for posting this. I was filling out a form to get a free trial from Acai Optimum (for an apparent Women' Health Digest study), and I was one hair short of completing it, but, having had my identity stolen before, I became weary when the form asked for the 3 security numbers in the back of my credit card. Are you kidding?! That's all anyone needs to steal your ID! AIN'T HAPPENIN'! I did some research and found your website, so I'm going to go buy the products at the local GNC, where they don't cost more than $30 dollars - nice, compared to the hefty $80 or more the websites charge you...thanks so much for your post!

I ordered two of the trials, the Resveratrol Extract and the AcaiBerry Detox. Well to my surprise I noticed on my credit card statement I was charged a total of $390.00 from the company I ordered the two products from. They also charged me for one more bottle of something I didn't order. I had called them up and told them that I never received any of the products (which I did actually receive), and they gave me a full refund. I nearly had a stroke when I realized what they had done. I was lucky to get my money back.

The blogger who asked about how to contact Julia Miller of News 6 needs to be told that Julia Miller is actually a fictional person. They used a picture of a real life reporter, Melissa Theuriau. Do your research and you will find this to be true. The article you read is a scam. I just got the same "article" up a second time, and they were using an altogether different name "Samantha" with the same photo!! Crazy!!

I just talked to my credit card's fraud department I was informed that canceling my credit card would not stop them charging me under the old card on something call posting. Which the charge would be still on the old card and I would be charged by my credit card company. .Need to file charges with the State Attorney General's office, fraud department. I am doing this today.

I read Julia Miller's report on the internet regarding two companies, Acai Optimum Dietary Supplement and Advance Cleanse, that were giving away free products for just shipping costs-14 day free trial. I had an easy time canceling my subscription to Advance Cleanse. When I tried to cancel the Acai Optimum subscription, by the same employee for Advanced Cleanse, Ray-CSR 217, he told me that I would have to return the product in 30 days or be charged $79. I told him I would be contacting the attorney General's Office to notify them of the false advertisement. Does anyone have an email address and telephone number to reach Julia Miller from News 6? Her report says that these companies don't have any hidden charges. I found out different.
