If you’ve read anything at all about Acai, you’ve seen references to Oprah proclaiming the virtues of the Acai Berry. But it is actually pretty difficult to find any quotes or video of what she says. That’s because the scammers have been making all kinds of outrageous claims about Acai being some kind of miracle diet pill, and using Oprah’s name to try and lend credibility to these claims. So, Oprah’s lawyers have been VERY busing getting videos pulled from youtube. Above is a little bit of Oprah with Dr Perricone introducing the Acai Berry juice to her audience. Pretty skimpy stuff.
But there is a lot of buzz about Oprah shedding some light on the Acai scene on her “best life week” special runs Jan 5. The quote below is from her website talking about her struggles, and a little about the special. For the full hour by hour schedule of events for this week visit www.oprah.com

Oprah Winfrey opens up about her recent 40-pound weight gain and reveals intimate details about her struggle to stay in shape after being diagnosed with a thyroid problem in the January issue of O, The Oprah Magazine and in a special episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show airing Monday, January 5, 2009. Both kick off Oprah’s Best Life Week—a multiplatform, company-wide event designed to help readers, viewers, listeners and online users confront the issues in their own lives and make a commitment to wake up and unlock their own personal happiness in 2009.

You are idiots to think a fruit would make you lose weight. Also don’t any of you know about those free trial scams by now??!! You are all the reason these people make money.
I ordered (like an idiot) acaiberry and started doing some research on the contents–83% is chronium — so where is the acaiberry? I was billed 79.95 for the bottle, like some of you. Mine is called “Advanced Acaiberry.” Here is the info I had on my bank statement:
ADV ACAI 866-943-3083 866-9433083 CA
The bank put a stop on all future uses of my account from this merchant, and I am in the process of filing a complaint through the bank as to the legality of the whole thing. I’ll let you know what happens. JWS
I ordered a free sample of Acia Berry on the internet and was suppose to only pay shipping charges. One month later i get a bottle delivered and with no statement. I check my bank statement and i was charged $84.47 not only once but the next month i was charged another $84.47. I called the first time and they played dumb and ask for account number and there is no account number. Then they ask for your address and there is no address. I really think this is a scam and i say to all the men and women don’t order this product unless you send cash. I am still trying to get my bank to cancel Acia Berry.
well if you ordered the free trial and never called to cancel after 15 days of receiving your free trial they were going to keep shipping and charge you the full price per month. it says so in the accept terms and conditions disclosure. it clearly says that after free trial ended if you didnt cancel ontime, you would continue receiving the shipments at full price.
but i want to know, is it true that pure acai berry doesnt really work? and that acai berry edge is the best one that does work? i tried pure acai berry for 3 weeks now and nothing! so i canceled and will now try acai berry edge. did i do the right thing?
Same set of circumstance happened to me, only the trial bottle said take two a day and no warnings on it. The bottle I recieved and did not order said take one in the morn. and one in the afternoon with all kinds of warnings. A huge concern and most M.D.’s know nothing about it so hard to discuss whether or not it is safe to take. I did notice a little weight loss but did have some dizziness. They warn you of that on the second lable along with saying that one pill contains enough cafeen of two cups of coffee. I have not opened the second bottle as I am saveing for evidence if I need to make sure they don’t send more and keep billing me. My brand is PURE Acai Berry Pro. Even both websites are differant. The first ibuypureacaiberry.com The second is pureacaiberrypro.com They also never told me to find a terms contract when ordering the free bottle. Who can you believe when ordering to make sure it is a safe and benificial product?
I ordered the free sample with 5.95 shipping. Recieved it. Then, saw that $88 dollars was deducted from my account. Called them…through the number found on my statement. Miami number and rep spoke broken english. Put me on hold. Music sounded funky…tinny. Told me he had cancelled the subscription that I never signed on for. Next day went to bank. Another $99 deducted.. I had to cancel my account. What a rip.
this same has just happened to me. i have the whole bottle and i haven’t used it. i am calling them to tell them not to send me anything else and this is false advertising an i am consulting my attorney. i was supposed to pay shipping and handling but it turned out to be 69.95 charged to my credit card. I am going to get a new credit card to ensure they don’t charge me for anymore. this is a dishonest scam and i hope everyone that has been scammed has something to say about it.
I ordered a free sample of Acia Berry on the internet and paid shipping charge by my charge account. One month later I get a bottle delivered with no statement. My Master Card Statement shows $69.95. Today, I get another and another charge on my Master Card. I haven’t even tried the free sample and didn’t order any more! Can’t remember who to contact to have this stopped. It came up on my screen connected to Oprah. Is my only option to cancel my Master Card?
