When it comes to weight loss and diet plans there are so many different options to choose from. It is difficult for the average Joe to figure out which ones are the best out there. Now I must confess that following the right meal and diet plan can be very effective, it is also important to couple it with an appropriate level exercise routine.
By just following a diet plan you can see some positive results but not nearly as good of results as you would see if you actually burned some calories as well. So try to include some aerobic exercise in the mix as well and you will improve your chances of achieving the results you want to see.

Very similar to Weight Watchers, but what they have over Weight Watchers is that it is far more affordable and the meals have a relatively good taste.
2.Weight Watchers – Similar to the above Nutrisystem in that it offers meal plans and portion control. You can also purchase the meals and have them delivered to your doorstep taking a lot of the headache out of cooking. I have heard that many who have tried Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem tend to believe that the Weight Watchers meals actually have a little more flavor, but you will end up paying more overall for the meals. I would try both to see which one you like more.
3.5 Factor – This unique diet is based on the number 5. What I like about this diet is that it also has a built in exercise plan into it as well. This diet allows for 5 meals a day as long as they fall along the lines of 5 specific criteria. It has also has an exercise plan that has 5 phases that are 5 minutes each. I don’t know anyone who couldn’t do some exercise for 5 minutes. Anyone can do exercises for 5 minutes. Many people have claimed to have success with this diet.
4.South Beach Diet – This diet was made famous by a doctor from south beach. It initially was designed to be a diet plan for those who have heart problems; it quickly became a fan favorite when it was shown to actually help lose weight as well. A diet that is both healthy for your heart and that can help you lose weight at the same is good in my book.
5.Medifast – This type of diet is normally used for those who have difficulty in following normal plans as it includes both meal replacements and real food. Meal replacements such as shakes etc.. usually assist the dieters in suppressing their hunger and desire to eat. I have heard of some positive results with this diet.

However, diets like Nutri-Systems, Medi-fast, even Weight Watchers are far too expensive for the average person to afford. We want a healty society yet, the manufacturers of “diet” foods hike the prices of their products to a limit that most folks simply cannot afford. For example, Weight Watchers 2-point bars? A whopping $5-$6 a box.
If the manufacturers of diet products and those in the medical field really want to see a healthy, lean society, make your products affordable for everyone.
